What are we trying to do?

We are trying to define a reasonable approach to the fundamental questions of life, rather than adopting either a religious fundamentalist approach, a vaguely mystical approach, or a too radically sceptical approach.

So these “global beliefs� could be supported by

● Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs; as well as

● liberal or reformed Jews, liberal Christians and Muslims open to critical analysis; and

● those from most other religious faiths; and

● evidence based scientists; as well as

● passionate sceptics, agnostics and atheists!

These ‘global beliefs’ and our values are based on reason and evidence, and valid choices, which we believe everyone has the potential to see and understand, regardless of religious, ethnic, national or political background.  more

What are our motivations?

● To help those who are confused to find reasonable answers to the big questions in life;

● To help young people wondering about god, religion, Atheism, how to be good – and why;

● To show religious people how they can grow within their tradition without losing everything

● To show Atheists and non-believers how they can justify and explain reasonable values;

● To help those who accept many of the conclusions we reach here to “join the dotsâ€� and see how they all fit into an integrated, comprehensive set of beliefs and values;

● To help dispel certain misunderstandings, that are held not only by religious people, but also by scientists, sceptics – and many politicians;

● To foster a sense of community among those who adopt this reasonable approach to life;

● To promote peace and understanding by defining sharable global beliefs and values.
